KARYN PARSONS – NON-PROFIT FILMMAKER
If you are familiar with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, you probably remember Karyn Parsons, who played Hilary Banks. After the said show, Karyn went off-air in 1996. A few breaks came her way that she was even part of the cast in Major Payne (1995) and The Ladies Man (2000). Now, she is a part of Sweet Blackberry, a non-profit entity that’s dedicated to teaching children about unsung heroes through animated movies. The venture undeniably not a money-making one, though. But despite that fact, it was amazing how Karyn bonds with the children.
She also published two books for children: a middle-grade novel entitled How High the Moon, which was published in 2019 that was roughly inspired by stories of her mother’s childhood in the Jim Crow South and published Flying Free in 2020. At times, a smile is more priceless than just collecting millions into one’s bank account. She probably still has a good credit score, especially if she practiced proper money management.
