HILLARY CLINTON – $2.85 MILLION, WASHINGTON D.C.
Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her husband, Bill Clinton, have a massive real estate portfolio, where they put some of their investments. This includes their Washington D.C. property that they bought for $2.85 million in 2000. It was said to be $650,000 cheaper than the previous owner’s asking price
The house in question featured seven beds and five baths, originally built in 1951. However, though it was a family home, Hillary used it to write her 2014 memoir Hard Choices. Talking about the house, the former US Secretary of State commended its huge gardens that she said were the most amazing that she had seen before. The property also made her emotional as Hillary felt like she was in the old-time London or New York whenever she was on the third floor and looking out over the trees at the back of the British embassy.
