Keke Palmer

If you were to get tattooed, would you want a small and modest one? Or would you go the flashy and elaborate route? Well, for singer/actress Keke Palmer, it’s a little bit of both. First off, Keke has a near-inconspicuous tattoo on her upper right thigh that says “perception,” with a straight line that breaks the word in the middle. However, she does have one bolder ink on her rib cage that reads, “don’t cast thy pearls before swine.” The Bible quote is perhaps a reminder for Keke to never give her best self to people who do not know how to appreciate her. It’s such a powerful message.

One that we can all learn from, to be honest. That’s not all, though! Keke also has a large tattoo at the back of her neck that shows an image of African pyramids with words saying, “Queen of Kush.” The singer/actress got this tattoo specifically to commemorate her African heritage. Given that all these contain a deeper meaning, we’re sure that Keke did not hesitate to swipe her credit card at the tattoo parlor.

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne comes from an eccentric family of rockstars and fashion icons, so it’s not surprising that she continued that legacy well into today’s generation. As a teenager, Kelly was all about that angsty punk-rock look. If you don’t believe it, then take a gander at her extensive collection of out-of-the-box tattoos she has from the moment of her life. While most celebrities have more profound reasons for getting their bodies inked, Kelly admits that most of her tattoos result from poor teenage judgment.

Let’s take, for example, the male and female skulls she has on her feet. According to the rockstar heiress, the eye-catching crossbones and skull tattoo meant nothing and was “stupid” like most of her body art. That’s not to say, though, that Kelly does not have any meaningful tattoo investments. In fact, she has a deeply profound tattoo on the side of her head that reads, “solidarity.” She chose to get this inked to remind her of the beauty and power of collective effort.

Kendall Jenner

We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the famous Kardashian-Jenner sisters aren’t exactly fond of getting their bodies inked. That is despite them being known for having procedures done here and there. Kim Kardashian even expressed once that she’ll never get a tattoo because it’s similar to “putting a bumper sticker on a Bentley.” Well, her younger sister Kendall Jenner might beg to differ. If you’re surprised to see Kendall on this list, we don’t blame you.

The 5’10 supermodel may have gotten inked, but it’s ultra-subtle that you’d probably miss it even if you’re already staring right at it. If you’re curious why her tattoos are easy to forget, that’s because they’re super small, done with white ink, and tucked away behind her lips. The cutest one, however, is this tiny broken heart tattoo she got with Hailey Baldwin. According to sources, the white broken heart tattoo symbolizes the good/angel in her, while the red symbolizes her devilish side. How about you? Would you use your credit card to get something similar?

Ke$ha

The 2010s have gifted us several pop icons, and one of them is Kesha. She might not be as big of an artist today as she was ten years back, but almost everyone still jams to the songs she released back in the day. Like many free-spirited musicians, Kesha also uses the art of tattoos to express herself and immortalize critical moments of her life. However, most people gain attraction to this colorful tiger piece inked by the famous Derrick Snodgrass.

The singer got this tattoo around 2017 when she was going through a rather challenging time in her career. Moreover, the tiger tattoo probably symbolizes the strength that she had to muster to get through the controversies she was involved with early on in her career. Another commemorative tattoo in her collection is the cross she has on her wrist. According to reports, Kesha spontaneously got this design tattooed into her skin after completing her first album in 2009. Overall, we think these body arts are worth every single investment money she spent.

For two consecutive years, from 2014 to2015, the Jenner sisters were included in Time magazine’s list of the most influential teens globally, citing their considerable influence among youth on social media. With an innate fashion inclination, Jenner expressed the significance of her child’s birth, Stormi Webster, in a subtle way, by having a tattoo on her forearm that signifies the date of her daughter’s nativity, 4:43. The name of her daughter is written above the elbow of the same forearm.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga’s musical career began at an early age. At 13, she began playing piano, wrote songs, and performed in open mic events by the time she reached 14. As many artists express their creativity and love for art through many means, Gaga conveyed hers through several tattoos on her body, on one side of her body. Among them is a series of musical notes and a trumpet, both located on her right arm. Most of her body tattoos reside on the left side, including a peace symbol on her wrist. Her sister’s name, Joanne, is also tattooed on her forearm.

Lana Del Rey

Noted for her stylized, glamor, and cinematic quality of music, Lana Del Rey made her breakthrough with the debut single Video Games in 2011, a viral success. That same year, she signed with Interscope and Polydor and released her major-label debut in 2012, Born to Die, and achieved international success with singles like Summertime Sadness, Blue Jeans, and Born to Die. With combined talents and knowledge, a degree in philosophy, Rey has created many of today’s hits, taking inspiration from several people.

Speaking of people for her inspiration, some of their names ended up inked on the artist’s body part. On her left hand, a tattoo of the letter “M” serves as a representation of the first initial of her grandmother’s name, Madeleine. Also, the name Nabokov Whitman is on her right arm, two writers whose work greatly influenced the singer’s songs, Vladimir Nabokov and Walt Whitman.

Lauren Jauregui

American songwriter and singer Lauren Jauregui is a former member of Fifth Harmony who ventured into solo songwriting exploration and experimenting with sounds. She collaborated with other record producers, music artists, and songwriters like Steve Aoki, Marian Hill, and Halsey. In 2018, Jauregui released her debut solo album Expectations under Columbia Records. Some of her singles were More Than That, Lento, and 50ft. Growing up, she listened to the 1990s’ alternative rock, R&B, pop, and Latin music, which most of her music took primary influence.

Also, Jauregui credits artists like Christina Aguilera, Frank Ocean, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Lana Del Rey, and John Mayer, to mention a few, for influencing her music. As an artist, Jauregui used another medium in expressing her artistic nature—tattoo. Her relationship with her grandmother was somewhat intimate, so her first tattoo she had was a dragonfly on her nape, which she strongly associates with her grandmother.
