For more than 40 years, James Earl Jones has been one of the most respected actors, fitting all of these qualities and more.

After being discharged from the military, he made his Broadway debut and went on to have a brilliant stage career that earned him numerous prizes and credits. He is famous for playing diverse roles in his films, including Dr. Strangelove, and he has also appeared in many television shows.
