THE GIRL OF DARK MAGIC

This portrayal of Dark Magician Girl is by Kay Pike. Here she takes on the role of the famous character from the anime “Yu-Gi-Oh!”, who can perform magic and communicate telepathically with other people. She also has her card in the anime-inspired trading card game. Her card belongs to the “Monster” category, where her attribute is “Dark”.

She is a level 6 card with an attack/defense value of 2000/ 1700, but in the Japanese version, Dark Magician Girl is called Black Magician Girl. She made her debut in episode 147 of the original anime, “Legend of the Dragons.” Why do we suddenly feel like watching anime again?

WINTER WONDERLAND

Emma Van-De-Peer is also known as Movie_mayhem_makeup. She uses body paint and special effects cosmetics to transform her look into different characters. She is from Cardiff and is a mother of two sons. Her interest in special effects cosmetics began when she worked for a theater company.

She taught children how to create their favorite looks from movies and television. Her favorite thing to do is create illusions with her skills, because she likes people to be amazed by what they see. Here she hits some cold hues, using shades of blue and white to show a cozy little cabin in a snowy forest.

YOU DO NOT EVEN NOTICE THAT I AM THERE

Emma Hack is an Adelaide-based artist known for painting bodies to match a background pattern. The painting is done so well that it hides the person’s body and makes them look like they are one with the wall. She developed her famous style in the early 00’s and was inspired by Florence Broadhurst’s Florence wallpapers.

She gained great popularity when she collaborated with Australian singer Gotye for his smash hit “Somebody That You Used To Know”. In the music video, the Grammy award winners are painted to match a geometric wall of color blocks.

CATWOMAN

“Catwoman,” the burglar whose name is actually Selina Kyle, appears in the “Batman” comics as an occasional antagonist. On screen, she has been portrayed by many different actors, including Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Lee Meriwether, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and Zoe Isabelle Kravitz,

Her most popular portrayal was that of Michelle Pfeiffer in the 90s. This body painter seems to be inspired mostly by Pfeiffer’s role. Pfeiffer played the character in the 1992 film “Batman Returns” directed by Tim Burton. Pfeiffer’s Catwoman carried a whip in the film. Micheal Keaton took on the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne at the time.

EMERGENCY CALL

Many people agree that cell phone addiction is a serious problem. The device that has brought progress to people to stay in touch has become a cause of stress. It is one of the reasons for lack of sleep, which manifests itself in physical symptoms such as headaches and fatigue.

With its seemingly endless pattern, this artwork tries to show us that smartphones can overwhelm us. Having a constant way to get in touch with someone can be irritating for people who find it hard to separate themselves from others. They want to have time to themselves, but when their phones are constantly ringing, they can’t disconnect from other people.

OF KOI PONDS AND CARPS

This artist has depicted a koi pond on her skin. The motifs are kept simple, with the painting technique focusing mainly on the fish. Lotus flowers are added through cutouts. A koi pond is often the exclusive part of a garden, and its main purpose is to ensure that the koi carp reach their maximum potential and stay healthy.

A dynamic filtration system maintains the pond to achieve this goal. The Japanese carp is known for its orange color and its breeding is an activity that many people take seriously. The koi fish represents many good qualities in Japanese culture, such as courage, strength and patience.

SWEETIE, GET MOMMY’S BAZOOKA

Here we have another tribute to a comic book character. This time the painter has chosen not a hero, but the famous Harley Quinn. Originally Quinn was the partner and lover of the Joker, but in the comics she has become a great character, different from the Joker and becomes an antihero.

In this creation, Quinn has blonde hair with pink and blue tips. This look was worn by the character in the comics only after the release of the movie “Suicide Squad” in 2016. In the film, Margot Robbie takes on the role of the psychiatrist who becomes a baseball bat-wielding fighter.

GOOD ENOUGH TO CONFUSE A BIRDWATCHER

Body painting is a work of art. Instead of a canvas or sketchbook, it’s the human body on which the talent is displayed. With body painting (and a great photo setup), the body in the picture above has been transformed to look like a pelican. At first glance, many will find it difficult to see the human body in it.

The leg of the body is the wide beak of the pelican, while the knee is the eyes. The chest of the person is the chest of the bird, while the arms as wings help to increase the dimension. By blackening everything around him, you can focus on the details of the image.

BECOMING ONE WITH THE FURNITURE

The body art of this woman makes her look like she is slowly melting into the furniture. The diamond-shaped pattern of the leather couch is printed on her skin. The brown coloring of the couch is not there, but maybe that is still the second step of the process.

Her look consists of well-mixed shades of gray, brown and beige for the lines. The pattern is limited to her face, bare arms and legs. The rest of her body is covered by her black dress. However, the skin that can be seen through the mesh inserts of her dress looks like it is free of the pattern underneath.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

When the Henry Selick production “The Nightmare Before Christmas” hit theaters in 1993, it became a surprise hit, earning $50 million at the box office at the time. Since then, the film has achieved cult status and was re-released annually by Disney from 2006 to 2010. It is based on a film by Tim Burton, who was also involved in the production of the film

This painter takes inspiration from the movie and paints herself as one of the main characters Sally. Sally took her appearance from Frankenstein’s monster and is a toxicologist. Besides her abilities to experiment with poisons, Sally can also see into the future.
